A week at Unit3 Work and Skills Centre
It has been a busy week at our Devonshire Road site. Two new participants have joined the scheme and are making great progress. Following some basic training in safe use of tools and joinery one has already built this fantastic garden bench and is moving on to more ambitious projects. The other has been discussing website design with our IT specialist and is now working on his first website using WordPress. Also: Several people received tuition in basic plastering and trowel skills as part of an 8 session course. New support programme: Choices Cumbria

Car Boot Sale
Millom Network Centre held their first car boot sale/indoor table top sale at the end of February giving many people the first chance to look around the Millom Work and Skills Centre. Weather conditions meant that activities took place indoors and not using the Centre's large car park area. The refreshments stall was well received serving coffee, tea and biscuits. As well as visiting the sales stalls buying books, toys, furniture, trinkets and bric a brac etc, new Centre tenant Sarah Sharpe opened her doors to her shop selling such things as soaps, scented candles and lamps.
